Tilak Verma’s fireworks, Rinku Singh’s luck

Tilak

What a wonderful performance by Tilak Verma India has raised the country’s flag by winning against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025.

While Tilak showed glimpses of Virat Kohli, Verma ji applied the tilak of victory to everyone’s forehead.

So let’s find out about yesterday’s match.

India won the toss yesterday and decided to bowl first. As we saw, Hardik Pandey was not playing in the final.
So the question was, who would India give the first over to when bowling first?
India gave the first over to Shivam Dubey. Many thought it could be a big over, but Shivam Dubey bowled it brilliantly.

How many runs did Pakistan score in the first six overs?

Pakistan scored 45 runs without losing a wicket.
How they played ?

  • Both Pakistani batsmen were playing brilliantly and were taking Pakistan to a high score.
  • Seeing this, the Pakistani fans were overjoyed and started chanting slogans.
  • But!!! Pakistan lost one wicket at 85, followed by another at 110.
  • After these two wickets, the Pakistani players began to disintegrate.

Let me tell you that Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets in one over and completely put Pakistan out of the game.

Pakistan was all out for under 30 runs in the final.

When Bumrah dismissed Harish Rauf, he showed Rauf the same signal that Rauf had shown to India in the previous match.

Pakistan scored 146 runs in 20 overs and couldn’t even play the full over.

“Someone rightly said that this is a game where it doesn’t take long to change the game. It seemed like Pakistan could even cross 170, but then Pakistan was all out for 146”.

Let’s talk about the second innings.

  1. All Indians knew that Abhishek Sharma would complete the chase today, before 15 overs, but no, Abhishek Sharma was dismissed early.
And India suffered an early setback, but Surya came in and got him out as well.
  2. Everyone was confident that Gill would score, but he lost his wicket.
  3. After this, India came under some pressure, but Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma formed a good partnership and provided India with the stability they needed.
  4. As soon as the timeout was called, India devised a good strategy, and then Tilak and Sanju Samson bowled a big over, giving India 100 runs in 15 overs.
  5. Sanju then dropped an easy catch, which seemed to turn the match in India’s favor, but a few balls later, Sanju was out. Then came Shivam Dubey. He batted with a good strike rate, and Tilak kept India’s hopes alive.
Shivam’s wicket falls in the last two overs, followed by Rinku Singh. India needs 10 runs in the last over.
  6. Harish Rauf comes on to bowl, but Tilak Verma hits a powerful six, resulting in fewer runs and more balls. After taking a single, the strike is given to Rinku. India needed 1 run to win. Rinku Singh, who did not play the entire tournament, gets this opportunity to score the winning runs. Rinku hits a four on the last ball to give India the victory.

And the most important thing is that neither did the Indians take the trophy from Pakistan nor have they ever faced any other Pakistani in any match.
