Reuters, July 12 The plane’s engines’ fuel cutoff switches shifted from run to cutoff almost simultaneously three seconds after takeoff, causing the engines to run out of gasoline, according to a preliminary investigation into the Air India crash that killed 260 people last month.
The 787 Dreamliner plane lost speed and plunged almost instantly, according to a report published on Saturday by Indian aviation accident investigators.

The preliminary data show no mechanical or design flaws.
Neither Boeing nor GE sent out any advisory bulletins, often called “multi-operator messages,” which typically raise suspicions of systemic risk.
Instead, engine shutdowns indicate intentional or unintentional actions in the cockpit controls.
